A Lazy Day w/ Retail Therapy, followed by Dinner at Trumps Grill Steakhouse

Our Saturday began with sleeping in and having breakfast at the exec lounge just before it ended. Then we took the shuttle to the mall for some retail therapy–we found a store called Mr. Price where I bought 2 skirts, & 2 tops for under $34 USD.

Then we went into Mandela Square (attached to the Sandton City Mall) & we discovered they were putting up a sign for Hard Rock Cafe! We asked the worker when it was suppose to open and he said Nov. 17th was their goal–we leave the 21st, so hopefully it will open before we leave!

We decided to go to Trumps Grill Steakhouse for dinner–the following are photo’s of us at the restaurant and our yummy dinner.GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

Inside the menu–notice they had ostrich! We chose to have the Steak with cheese & mushroom sauce over it.

This was the place mat–pretty classy looking.

The view from our table, out towards the square. Notice the windows/doors, open up to create an outside patio feel. The evening temp was perfect for this, with a slight breeze blowing through–just enough to keep it comfortable. Loved it!

A Mandela candle sat on each table.

I was waiting patiently for our dinner, which was not easy with the smell of yummy food, and I was getting quite hungry. We should have made that Garlic Cheese Roll as an appetizer, rather than holding it for our main mail…

Our Dinner! Mmm!

The large dish to the left was our main course–Melted Cheese Steak, and the plate on the right was our Garlic Cheese Roll–both so YUMMY! The two dishes in the foreground were our side dishes. Creamed Spinach on the left and mashed potatoes on the right. Fortunately we only ordered one meal to share, because we STLL came out feeling quite full!

Again, looking towards the square–I was trying to get a nice shot of the lights, hanging near the ceiling light.

After dinner, we walked back to the hotel. This was my idea of a nice relaxing day.
