TABITHA, 29 AND HOLDING                                                                                                                                            Our oldest daughter, Tabitha turned 29 a few days ago—Oh my, where does the time go?  Our firstborn daughter is nearly 30 and our firstborn son turned 33 in August!  I guess that makes us OLD.  (Jon’s note: well – how about a few years from now, when our oldest grandchild becomes a teenager –THAT will make me feel old…)  Now Tabitha is preparing for the birth of her 4th baby, our 4th granddaughter—to join our one and only grandson—at least so far…

COMING HOME FRIDAY TO LEAVE AGAIN SUNDAY                                                                                             We had hoped they would finish this assignment early so we could spend a week at home, but now they are pushing just to get it finished in time.  We are scheduled to return home on Friday evening and then fly to Boulder, CO on Sunday morning.  At least we have more than just a few hours to recuperate and the flight to Colorado will be a much shorter one than the flights to and from Europe.  We are looking forward to being in a Homewood Suites (another Hilton property—Yay!  –more Hilton Honors points!). We will have a suite that includes a sitting area and a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator—and we can cook some of our own foods.  I never thought I would say I was looking forward to be able to cook some meals for us.  (Jon’s note: OK – Vicki is definitely getting spoiled when she’s “looking forward” to cooking.  But, I have to admit, I’m looking forward to eating her cooking as well –and eating out all the time actually does get a bit ‘old’….and a lot of the food goes to waist (spelled that way on purpose).

Vicki (and Jon, too!)
