We came home the Sunday before Christmas, just in time for a second week of snow in Portland! There was about an inch on the ground when we got home and by that night, after snowing ALL DAY, non-stop, we had several more inches. More snow the next day and then ice and then more snow, left us with a record snowfall for Portland and a white Christmas…something we NEVER see in Portland. (Turns out that even Las Vegas got snow!) We ended up with about 4 inches on top of the car (after wiping an inch or 2 off to go to the store) followed by a half, to three quarters inch of ice, followed by another 3-4 in. of snow by Tuesday when we wiped it off and dug the car out, so we could go out and finish our shopping.
